Nerd Girl by rrward Nerd Girl by rrward
Back in the day the nerd girl tee-shirt joke was "dual floppies". But no one knows what floppies are anymore. (Yes, I'm that old.)

Very amusing, and pretty!

No worries, a lot of people don't know about the nerd-worthy pick-up lines, either...

I remember seeing at a computer show (conference) the booth model (I think it may have been Compaq) had a t-shirt that read "I've got dual Floppies" - and she did, by gosh

I used floppies even when they were replaced by USBs and CD roms, cus my parent's couldn't afford me a better computer back then :(

I still have an 8 inch drive lying around. I guess it should go to a museum. The VAX 11-780's used an 8 inch floppy for booting. Better than toggling in the boot code like on the the PDP 8. My first computer experience was on an IBM 650 - anyone remember that one? I remember being at a trade show with a booth model wearing a "I've got Dual Floppies" T-shirt.

Floppies will come back. Only this time it will be in the form of fully flexible and waterproof micro-sd cards that hold a terabyte, something you can hide and forget in a seam of clothing.

btw HOT-as-fire work from Ward. Backstory I could write for this one...

NO reason he can't be a Sorayama.

Nice work. Back when I ran an IT department, I came across a bunch of old disks that were larger than the 5.25" floppies(we were using the 3.5" at the time), about 7.5". They only stored 64K of data!

8" floppies. We had a IBM System/36 (model 5360, I think) that used an autoloader with twenty or so of those damned things to back itself up to every night.

Yeah, they didn't hold much data did they? I think back to my first computer and laugh. Hell, I remember my first year of college and the "PC labs". Guys walking around in white lab coats like they were NASA scientists. LMAO. Oh, memories.

Gorgeous girl and render!

I think there's a little irony in the fact that the nerd girl is a 3D model, but I'll let it slide. :P

I know what floppies are!
And I use to use them, I liked them better than CDs, 1.44 mb of rewritable data :D

And I'm not old!
